VISUAL WORK

I use painting and illustration as ways to process. I do this by using certain symbols to create a visual language for my inner world. For example, parts of the human body, cosmic components, the natural elements, the chakras etc. are all symbols that are coming back often in the works I make. In addition, I use the stipple-technique to create these works. This repetitive technique requires a lot of time and attention and has an almost meditative effect on me. Therefore, the visual language as the technique for creating that language are inviting me to slow down and reflect.
